About the series
The Chinese Panda is the bullion (uncirculated, 普制) series of gold, silver and platinum coins issued by the People’s Bank of China. The first gold Pandas appeared in 1982; the panda design on the reverse changes every year while the Temple of Heaven in Beijing remains on the official obverse. The coins are legal tender of the PRC.
The 2027 coins were announced in PBC Notice (2026) No. 26 and released on 30 October 2026; the set has 15 coins (7 bullion and 8 proof). This catalog series covers the bullion coins only.
