Coins in the series
About the series
“The Germania Beasts” is a series of silver rounds by Germania Mint based on Germanic-Scandinavian mythology: Fafnir (2020), Fenrir (2022), Gullinbursti (2025) and Sleipnir (2026). Each beast is issued in three versions: 1 ounce (face value 5 marks), “Geminus” — two one-ounce pieces, one gilded and one ruthenium-plated, and an ultra-high double relief of 2 ounces (10 marks).
A distinctive feature of the series is the design that continues from one side of the coin to the other, so that the creature seems to wrap around the coin. The issues share a common source — the stories of the Poetic and Prose Eddas — and a uniform format of three finishes for every beast.
