Description
The 2025 proof Panda (1 kg silver) coin is part of the Chinese Panda series, issued by the People's Bank of China on October 30, 2024, per announcement 〔2024〕 No. 12. Quality is proof (精制): 1000 g of .999 pure silver, 100 mm diameter, 300 yuan face value, maximum mintage 10,000 pcs. The coin is legal tender of the PRC.
Obverse. Relaxed pandas; the coin indicates the face value, weight, and fineness. The designer is not named in the official announcement.
Reverse. The Temple of Heaven in Beijing — a common design for all denominations in the issue; surrounded by the country name "中华人民共和国" (People's Republic of China) and the year "2025".
Issue. The complete 2025 set consists of 14 coins: 6 bullion (gold 30, 15, 8, 3, and 1 g, silver 30 g) and 8 proof (gold 1 kg, 150 g, 100 g, and 50 g; silver 1 kg and 150 g; platinum 30 g and 3 g). Minted at the Shenyang, Shanghai, and Shenzhen Guobao mints; general distributor is China Gold Coin Group. Prices are not mentioned in the official announcement.
