Description
The 2025 proof Panda, 30 g platinum is part of the Chinese Panda series released by the People's Bank of China on October 30, 2024, per Announcement 〔2024〕 No. 12. Struck in proof quality (精制): 30 g of .999 pure platinum, 32 mm in diameter, with a face value of 1000 yuan and a maximum mintage of 10,000 pieces. The coin is legal tender of the PRC.
Artistic side (obverse). Relaxed pandas; the coin bears the face value, weight, and fineness. The designer is not named in the official announcement.
Official side (reverse). The Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests at the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, a common design for all denominations of this issue; surrounded by the country name "中华人民共和国" (People's Republic of China) and the year "2025".
Issue. The complete 2025 set comprises 14 coins: 6 bullion (gold 30 g, 15 g, 8 g, 3 g, and 1 g; silver 30 g) and 8 proof (gold 1 kg, 150 g, 100 g, and 50 g; silver 1 kg and 150 g; platinum 30 g and 3 g). The mints are Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Shenzhen Guobao Mint; the general distributor is China Gold Coin Group. Prices are not mentioned in the official announcement.
